I work in photography, mixed media and most recently, painting. I co-run the independent art space Scranch out of a desert homestead in  Wonder Valley, CA. I earned a BA from The Evergreen State College in Olympia Washington and an MFA from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. My awards include the 2001 Friends of Photography Emerging Photographer Award, a City of Chicago CAAP Grant and two Ragdale Foundation Fellowships. I’ve exhibited widely in Chicago, New York and Los Angeles, including in group shows at The Art Institute of Chicago (1999); Artists Space (New York, 2000); Cal Poly Pomona (Pomona, 2001); Newtown (Pasadena, 2002); Watts Towers Art Center (Los Angeles, 2003); Millard Sheets Gallery at the Pomona Fairplex (2003-2004); Hudson Franklin Gallery (New York, 2006, 2009); Torrance Art Museum (Los Angeles, 2009), the Acadiana Center for the Arts (2014), and Edward Cella Art and Architecture (2014). Solo exhibitions include Center for the Arts, Eagle Rock (Los Angeles, 2006) Haus Gallery (Pasadena, 2007), and The Front Gallery (New Orleans, 2013). My work is in the collections of the Art Institute of Chicago, the Museum of Contemporary Photography, the New York Public Library, the Seattle Art Museum, and several private collections.  I live in Eagle Rock, Los Angeles with my husband, son, and two cats, and serve as the Administrative Director of Undergraduate Studies at Antioch University where I also teach fine art courses.
